I have become foolish you yourselves compelled me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake for when I am weak, then I am strong.

That can be true of us, too.įor if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me.īecause of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me-to keep me from exalting myself!Ĭoncerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me.Īnd He has said to me, ``My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Whether in feast or famine and even when insulted and persecuted for the sake of Christ, the apostle rejoiced in his weakness because he’d learned the secret of contentment: “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil. In suffering, we grow closer to Him, and “endurance its perfect result, so that may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (James 1:4). We can brave hardship and sorrow because the Almighty is with us, promising “our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison” (2 Cor. When our strength is lacking, we begin to discover God is enough. He prayed three times for it to be removed, but God promised only grace, explaining that His power is perfected in weakness. We’re not told what (or who) the painful aggravation was, but it tormented and humbled him. We can become anxious and walk away from God-or we can trust Him to help us. Circumstances may not be in our control, but our response is.

Sometimes they accompany us all our years and can seem unbearable. Not all our problems are that little or so easily removed. This should solve the problem. If you’ve ever had a splinter in your finger or a pebble in your shoe, you know how bothersome the pain can be.
#Our daily bread daily devotion update#
Our development team has created an update to fix several issues. Could address that as well please?!?!?!? God bless!!! And when mentioned about the day count on my last review complaint, the developers only address the crashing of the new version, and failed to mentioned about the day count. Now as of Apthe app is blank for today’s reading, and when you click on the month it opens and the spinning wheel just continues to spin like it’s trying to open! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!! I thought it was a April fool joke but this is getting annoying because the next day it’s the same! Someone on the develop team is/has been slacking on working out the quirks to this app!!!Īnd other main issue is when the new version was updated you all took away the motivation count of how many days being read! This was a cool feature and very motivating!! WHY?!?! Not liking none of this. Ok, this is really getting annoying! When the app received its newest update version the app would not open! Realize everyone that updated to the new version was also experiencing the same thing! Wrote a review and the developers advised to delete the app. Many blessing to all behind the ODB as you are touching so many lives with your hard work and prayers :)ĭimples2007, thank you so much for sharing how the Lord has used the Our Daily Bread to bring encouragement to your life and your friend's lives! We are so delighted to hear how God is working!! We are very sorry that you are experiencing troubles sharing the image and the devotional and our team would be happy to help resolve this for you.

I pray this problem will be fixed real soon. The picture is very important as it draws people to read my post when they see it.
#Our daily bread daily devotion download#
So I always have to delete the app then download it again in order to share the picture.

When I try, it shows me the last picture that is from a different date. I have been having problems with the app for a while now where I can’t share the picture at the top of the page. No -believer friends and relatives read my ODB post everyday and once when I was in a dark place I planned on deleting my Facebook and Instagram accounts and a lot of my non-believer friends asked me not to because reading my ODB post everyday has become part of their morning routine. In fact, if you’re one of my friends, the ODB is the only thing you will see on my Facebook app. I read the ODB app every morning before breakfast and also share it on my Facebook page and text it to each member of our family and my siblings every single day.
